British Comedy

• Eddie Izzard (official website) This charming fellow is the funniest person I have seen in the last 10 years. I was fortunate to see him live in Los Angeles a few years ago. Catch his HBO special, buy his videos. You won't regret it. Comedy is one of the most important things in life.
  
• Stephen Fry Brilliant, funny, and an excellent writer. With (and without) Hugh Laurie has presented us with some of the best comedy, ever. You might have seen him in Blackadder IV as General Melchett and in the 1998 film Wilde as OFOWW.
  
• Red Dwarf (official site) Fantastic - a sci-fi comedy! Just wrapped up its 8th series in 10 years, I hear there is now a movie in the works. Cast includes the completely wonderful Chris Barrie and super lovely Craig Charles.
  
• Rik Mayall I have loved Rik since 1986 and will go to my grave enjoying the multitude of work he has produced, from Kevin Turvey and the Young Ones through to the present.
  
• PythOnline Monty Python. 'Nuff said. Go.
